This was also after we noticed that the table that sat down after us got their food 15 minutes before us, and also she never stopped by to ask us how we were doing, or to assure us that our food was coming. And that was only AFTER we flagged her down to ask why it was taking so long. We waited more than 10 minutes for our waitress to come back with tea once we ordered it, and another 30 minutes after that (40 minutes!) before our food came- french toast and a waffle. I understand that they just opened a few months ago in April, but you would think that their wait staff would have their stuff together. The decor and ambiance here is similar to the others, and the food, as always is good. I've been to the Turning Point in Hoboken, Westfield, and Manalapan. We'd come on another day as well where unfortunately our tables were assigned to the person who was juggling the wait list during a busy time and seating, so service had been a bit slow though good that day. They deducted the cost of one coffee, but you don't spend 40 dollars for breakfast for two for anything but perfection. In short, as a customer I don't care who is wrong, just fix it as best you can and make the rest of the experience pleasant. Unfortunately, the waitress also did something not appreciated - when told about the coffee she threw the preparer under the bus and blamed him for switching them. I suspect this was also an error, because the menu did not specify red onions and it does for other dishes. However, it was served with red onions so strong they drowned out the very delicate tastes of the other veggies - and were not appropriate to the meal. And second, one of the meals was a light balsam-pesto infused egg dish. However, the waitress placed the presses in front of the wrong people - leading one to sweeten with the wrong thing, and another to put in undesired milk, wasting a quarter of our coffee and giving us tastes that were not happy ones for those who got the coffees switched. First, we ordered French presses, as usual.

This time and this location had some issues. Turning Point is a chain of breakfast/lunch upscale cafes which normally has perfectly prepared and served specialties and coffees.
